SCSEP-Senior Community Services Employment Program

is accepting applications for a Program Assistant with Aging Services and the Senior Companion Program. The Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Program Director with the daily operations of the project in the 10 county service area. Senior Companion Program

is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults. If interested please call 1-800-456-6571 ext. 215 or ext. 219.
