Housing Program
In an effort to serve low-income Kentuckians with their housing needs, below is a list of rental assistance programs that Blue Grass Community Action Partnership currently operates:
- Samaritan Housing Program is a permanent supportive housing program that serves chronically homeless disabled individuals in BGCAP's nine county service area.
- Permanent Housing for Homeless and Disabled Persons is administered in Anderson, Jessamine and Woodford Counties. To be eligible for this program the household must meet the definition of homelessness and at least one person in the household must have a documented disability.
- Franklin County Re-Entry Program is administered in Franklin County and serves homeless participants of Franklin County Drug Court.
- KY HEARTH (this program will begin in the near future) will serve eligible persons in the nine county service area with Prevention Services and Rapid-Re-Housing. This program will be used to provide assistance to income eligible persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, many of these due to the economic crisis.
The intent of KY HEARTH is to provide temporary assistance to help persons gain housing stability. To serve persons who are homeless, or would be homeless but for this assistance, and who can remain stably housed after this temporary assistance ends.
