Franklin County Head Start/Day Care Assistant Teacher/Substitute Bus Driver

The Blue Grass Head Start Program is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Teacher/Substitute Bus Driver at the center in Franklin Co. Applicant is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and it is preferred that the applicant also have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA). The CDA can be obtained after being hired. The Head Start Program will pay for initial physical examination including TB skin test for the applicant selected for the position. Applicant can not have been convicted of a sex crime, child abuse or neglect/922KAR 2:110 or any other felony. Applicant will also be required to pass initial drug screen and random testing as outlined in BGCAP’s employee policies and procedures. Applicant must also possess a valid driver’s license with a 5-year good driving record. CDL preferred but not required. Training provided for CDL. Individual chosen for the position will assist in the classroom between bus routes. The Head Start Program will pay for initial physical examination including TB skin test for the applicant selected for the position. Mercer-Boyle County Head Start - Lead Teacher Position

Blue Grass Head Start is accepting applications for the position of Lead Teacher at Mercer-Boyle County Head Start in Danville. It is preferred that applicants have a BA in early childhood education, but will consider individuals with an AA who are willing to work towards earning a BA. Applicants should also have experience in teaching preschool children. The position will involve teaching students years 3 to 4 and also assisting in the encouragement of parent involvement. Those applying should possess a current driver’s license with a 5-year good driving record. The Head Start Program will pay for initial physical examination including TB skin test for the applicant selected for the position. Nutrition Meal Delivery Driver/PRN - Fayette County

Senior Companion Program-Volunteers

The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults. Bus-Private Auto Providers

BGCAP is seeking persons interested in becoming Private Auto providers for the Region 8 Human Service Transportation Delivery (HSTD) Brokerage program to provide Medicaid Transportation in the counties of Anderson, Boyle, Casey, Franklin, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Mercer, Scott, Washington and Woodford.
