Woodford County Head Start Bus Driver/Assistant Teacher
Accepting applications for the position of Bus Driver/Assistant Teacher at the Woodford County Head Start center. Applicant must have high school diploma or GED. Applicant must also possess a valid driver’s license with a 5-year good driving record. CDL preferred but not required. Training provided for CDL. Individual chosen for the position will assist in the classroom between bus routes. Anderson County Head Start Assistant Teacher/Substitute Bus Driver
Accepting applications for the position of Assistant Teacher at their head start in Anderson County. Applicant is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and it is preferred that the applicant also have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA). Applicant will also be required to obtain their CDL license so they can serve as substitute bus driver when needed. Those applying should have experience working with preschool age children in a classroom setting. Information Technology Assistant
The IT Assistant is responsible for overseeing technology and supporting clients at Central Office located in Frankfort, Ky as well as offices in a nine county area. This position is temp-to-perm with a 90-day evaluation period where individual’s job performance and alignment with organization will be assessed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff with products include Windows, Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and a continually growing suite of other applications.
- Assist with workstation administration and management set-up, configuration, support of workstation hardware and software as well as some networking. Common tasks include operating system installation, configuration and upgrades, application installation and configuration, hardware upgrades, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Assist with various paperwork and other clerical duties.
- Common tasks include troubleshooting phone issues.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate with users effectively and display good interpersonal skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and research solutions
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with other technical personnel for collaborative problem solving
Education and Experience:
- Certifications (MCSE and A+) a plus, but not required
- 2+ years practical technical support and network experience a plus, but not required
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pulling, pushing and kneeling; Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Senior Companion Program-Volunteers
The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults.
