Anderson County Head Start/Day Care Assistant Teacher

The Blue Grass Head Start Program is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Teacher at their center in Anderson Co. Applicant is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and it is preferred that the applicant also have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA). The CDA can be obtained after being hired. The Head Start Program will pay for initial physical examination including TB skin test for the applicant selected for the position. Applicant can not have been convicted of a sex crime, child abuse or neglect/922KAR 2:110 or any other felony. Applicant will also be required to pass initial drug screen and random testing as outlined in BGCAP’s employee policies and procedures. Senior Companion Program-Volunteers

The Senior Companion Program is an opportunity for persons age 55 and older who meet federal income guidelines to render assistance with activities of daily living to older, homebound adults. As Senior Companions, volunteers assist clients for 20 hours per week and receive a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour. This income is not reported as income and will not affect entitlement programs such as food stamps. Volunteers receive 40 hours of paid training initially and 4 hours of paid training each month in issues of importance to senior adults. BGCAP is seeking persons interested in becoming Private Auto providers for the Region 8 Human Service Transportation Delivery (HSTD) Brokerage program to provide Medicaid Transportation in the counties of Anderson, Boyle, Casey, Franklin, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Mercer, Scott, Washington and Woodford.
