What is the Garrard County Adult Day Program?
A non-profit program under the Blue Grass Community Action Partnership and a United Way agency designed to provide part-time relief for caregivers.
Who does the Garrard County Adult Day Program serve?
Adults 21+ that require supportive supervision, including the specially designed Social Program for seniors age 60+ and adults with Alzheimer's and related conditions.
How much does the service cost?
The Adult Day Program is a Medicaid provider. Social Model client fees are determined by a sliding fee scale. Care is available to people of all income levels.
Typically, Adult Day Program patrons face one or more challenges like:
Alzheimer's
Dementia
Forgetfulness
Parkinson's
Unsteady balance
Mental retardation
The Adult Day program includes meals, social and recreational activities. The activities include:
Exercises
Crafts
Mental stimulation
Music
Games
Adult Day Services may not be appropriate for all levels of care.
