Homecare is a program to help people over 60 years of age who might otherwise have to live in nursing homes.

In-home services are meant to help with basic needs of daily living.  They do not take the place of medical care or

professional nursing services. Homecare services include:

Homemaker - Helping you with housework, laundry, shopping.

Personal Care - Assist with bathing, dressing other personal needs.

Respite - Staying with you for a short while if you cannot stay alone and your caregiver needs to be away.

Escort - Go with you to the doctor or other places if you can't go alone.

Case Management/Assessment - Determining your needs, making a care plan and schedule for your care.

Helping you get the other services you need.

**Since homecare is a social service rather than a health care service, you do not need a doctor's order for care.  If you or someone you know is 60 and over and need help to stay at home, contact the Senior Citizens Center closest to you.
